Well, I've lived a good life so far, and I'd like to do more. It's time to build some sort of legacy. Hence the show - I get a lot of great feedback from people saying that it's been really beneficial to them. Recent circumstances have put me into a difficult position where I had to make some big decisions about where I'm headed. With your help donating, telling friends and reviewing the show on iTunes, I can get back on my feet and focus on creating more Herd Mentality material. (A hint: a book and an app project!) By building an audience who generously donate small sums each month to hear my work, I can build a sustainable life. I have a lovely Lady Friend and a cat called Pastis. Between the three of us, who knows where we'll end up?
The show is a simple concept. I take 1-3 people - any people - and interview them on their lives or projects. I really will talk to anybody, and you're welcome to come on the show. (Disclaimer: Due to some calls having low quality I can't guarantee that everyone who records a show will make it to air.) If you have a topic that you'd like to discuss in detail with specific people, simply put their details in the form and state which dates and times you're available. I'll work my hardest to get your topic to air.
Do you really want to hear about me? Okay then. In 1999 I was the first Australian student to live with gay host family in France. Best year of my life, I consider them family. (Upcoming topic for the show.) I've lived in France, England and Viet Nam, I'm bilingual in French too. At school I studied singing for 4 years, so I'm told I'm okay at it. When I returned to Australia in 2007 I started a sales and marketing business called "Secret Agencies - Minding Everyone Else's Business", which supplied electrical goods to retailers. Over 5 years the business grew to 5 staff and a $2.4m turnover in sales. On the 1st of June 2012, due to circumstances beyond my control I decided to close up shop. After the emotional turmoil and financial nonsense was resolved, I set about on a new project, The Herd Mentality, and I thank you for any support you're able to offer me. :)
The Herd Mentality Podcast is a project I'm working hard on to build a sustainable life.
Anyone can come on the show! Just fill in the form above with your @twitterhandle, email and a topic you'd like to discuss. I'll try and match you with similar guests.
I try to get as many people as I can on, but I can't guarantee all calls will make it to air. :)
